Ten Sixty One Cider

Our Story

After a boozy winery tour in 2015, the idea to create a craft cider was born.

For Bianca, a fourth generation apple grower the dream was to take the apples that were deemed imperfect to sell and create a tasty cider, quite unlike any other.

We take a conscious approach to creating a craft cider right here on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula from our family run orchard.

Established in 1961, Atlanta Orchards have been growing quality apples for over 50 years. Situated in Moorooduc, it’s here where Bianca crafted our first batch back in 2016 in an old shed among the orchards at Stumpy Gully Road.

After seeing tonnes of apples literally rot in her own backyard each season, and discovering that over 8 billion dollars in food go to waste each year in Australia alone, Bianca decided she had to do something to fight the war on waste. Starting out the back in an old spare shed, a “No Waste Initiative” was born.

Ten Sixty One by Atlanta isn’t just another cider, this is the product of a hard working orchardist, with a vision to make her community a better place.

100% Real Apple Cider, made on the Mornington Peninsula.
